Gastrointestinal symptoms were significantly more common in the 1 st wave (p-value = 0.005), we had three patients presented with severe abdominal pain with tenderness and rigidity on examination resembling acute abdomen one of them was operated as a case of acute appendicitis and postoperatively patient was deteriorating, developed cardiogenic shock and had elevated d-dimer, ferritin and C- reactive protein (CRP).
