In comparison, M9, which is enriched with risk genes for many neuropsychiatric disorders (TS, BIP, MDD, SZgw, Epilepsy, PD), is specifically upregulated in the adult thalamus (Fig. 6a, c), supporting the reported thalamus abnormalities in those disorders 43,47–49. The gene discussed is EIF3K; the disease is major depressive disorder.
