The DAC (5-aza-2'-deoxycytidine, DNA methyltransferase inhibitor) treatment could reverse the hypermethylation of NID1 promoter (Fig.S17b) and enhance the expression level of NID1 in ETV4-siLOXL2 CRC cells (Fig.S17c-d), suggesting that DNMT (DNA methyltransferase) might mediate the methylation process of NID1 promoter. This evidence concerns the gene ETV4 and colorectal carcinoma.
