The results showed that both the mRNA and protein levels of SYT4 were significantly higher in GC cell lines than in GES-1 cells, with the most notable differences observed in HGC27 (undifferentiated, with high metastasis potential, low adhesion and strong drug resistance) and MGC803 (poorly differentiated GC cell lines) cells (P < 0.01, Supplementary Figure S2A). The gene discussed is SYT4; the disease is gastric cancer.
