To robustly study the role of tumor-intrinsic TAK1 in development of PDAC and the native TME, we obtained a Map3k7f/wt B6;129S7 mouse in which exon 1 of the Map3k7 gene was flanked by the loxP sequences11, and backcrossed it nine times to C57BL/6J mice before crossing it with the C57BL/6J KPPC parental strains to generate conditional heterozygous (Map3k7f/wt) and homozygous (Map3k7f/f) Map3k7-knockout KPPC mice in pure C57BL/6J background. This evidence concerns the gene MAP3K7 and neoplasm.
