Chemokine-driven processes in the tumor microenvironment, including signaling sustained by CCL2, CXCL1, CXCL8, CXCL10 and CXCL12, guide not only the migration of both cancer and endothelial cells (Bolitho et al., 2010; Furukawa et al., 2013; Israeli Dangoor et al., 2025; Shen et al., 2022; Zielińska & Katanaev, 2020), but also the remodeling of endothelial cells to ultimately support cancer progression (Salazar & Zabel, 2019). The gene discussed is CXCL10; the disease is cancer.
