Our study adds to this landscape by revealing a positive correlation between ACAA1 expression and key immune checkpoint genes (e.g., PDCD1, CTLA4, CD80, CD86, LAG3), suggesting that ACAA1 may serve as a prospective biomarker for identifying NPC patients who could benefit from immunotherapy, thus aiding in patient stratification. This evidence concerns the gene ACAA1 and nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
