Although we did not observe significant association between BMI-corrected HS during pregnancy and glucose intolerance at 1-year postpartum, higher BMI-corrected HS was associated with lower insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) (β = -0.09, p = 0.039), MetS-BMI (β = -0.38, p < 0.001), CRP (β = -0.04, p = 0.035) and with increased insulin sensitivity (MATSUDA: β = 0.10, p < 0.001) at 1-year postpartum even after adjustment for confounders (model 2). This evidence concerns the gene CRP and metabolic syndrome.
