In the EPMT, representative activity traces (Fig. 7G) and quantified data show that compared with rats in the Gi+CNO− group, rats in the Gi+CNO+ group made a similar number of entries into the OA (Fig. 7H, n = 6 rats for each group, unpaired Student’s t test, p = 0.9174), but spent significantly more time in the OA (Fig. 7I, n = 6 rats for each group, Mann-Whitney test, p = 0.0117), and exhibited a significantly lower anxiety index (Fig. 7J, n = 6 for each group, unpaired Student’s t test, p = 0.0436).
