In contrast, on comparing adenomyosis with the co-existent adenomyosis–endometriosis group, MMP7 demonstrated the highest discriminatory power (AUC = 0.97, p < 0.0001), indicating its potential as a key marker for distinguishing isolated adenomyosis from overlapping pathology (Fig. 5C; Supplementary Table S8). This evidence concerns the gene MMP7 and adenomyosis.
