The tumor microenvironment was assessed in 35 patients using multiplex immunofluorescence staining for cluster of differentiation 4 (CD4), cluster of differentiation 8 (CD8), pan cytokeratin (pan-CK), C-C chemokine receptor 7 (CCR7), and death receptor 5 (DR5), revealing a significant increase in the infiltration of CD8+ and DR5+ cells (Supplementary Figs. 10, 11). The gene discussed is CCR7; the disease is neoplasm.
