First, memory assessment relied on NOR and Y‐maze tests, which, despite optimization for our longitudinal evaluation protocol, may inadequately capture the complete spectrum of cognitive impairment; implementation of additional behavioral paradigms such as Morris water maze would provide a more comprehensive cognitive assessment. Second, while our investigation examined 13 neuropeptides previously implicated in CCH pathomechanisms, our analysis could not encompass all potentially relevant neuropeptide biomarkers.
