Our results revealed a marked upregulation of Viperin in Treg cells from ITP patients; overexpression of Viperin impaired the suppressive function of Tregs (Fig. 3E-I), indicating that Viperin may activate pro-inflammatory signaling pathways in Tregs, ultimately compromising their regulatory capacity.
