After exclusion of patients with concomitant Alzheimer's disease, the number of lobar microbleeds remained independently associated with Aβ42 and Aβ40 (age‐adjusted ß‐coefficient per 100‐pg/mL decrease in Aβ42 0.14, 95% CI 0.25 to 3.49, p = 0.024; age‐adjusted ß‐coefficient per 1000‐pg/mL decrease in Aβ40 0.14, 95% CI 0.15 to 2.83, p = 0.029), but not with albumin ratio (adjusted ß‐coefficient per 1‐point increase in albumin ratio 0.12, 95% CI = −0.22 to 4.20, p = 0.077). This evidence concerns the gene ALB and early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease.
