REG1B and ulcer disease: The formation of DU is closely related to the destruction of mucosal barriers, and REG1B may participate in the healing process of ulcers by promoting the regeneration and repair of mucosal cells.[45,46] According to reports, the expression of REG1B may be influenced by the gut microbiota, especially in cases of inflammation or infection (such as H pylori infection).[47] Therefore, REG1B may affect the progression of ulcers by regulating immune responses and mucosal repair.
