IL10 and myocardial infarction: To determine whether the improvement in tissue damage in MI mice by rEgAgB8/2 is associated with the modulation of cardiac inflammatory cytokines, we measured the levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines TNF-α and IL-1β, as well as regulatory cytokines IL-10 and TGF-β in mouse serum (Figure 5A) and in the MI tissue extracts (Figure 5B) using corresponding ELISA kits.
