Increased levels of p-Tau and decreased levels of Aβ42 were previously linked to PD cognitive impairment and disease progression47; conversely, when looking at the relationship between PVS and CSF biomarkers change, neither we nor other reports from PPMI data have shown an association between PVS volume fraction and longitudinal change in CSF biomarkers48. This evidence concerns the gene MAPT and Parkinson disease.
