Selenium nanoparticles (SeNP) have recently been shown to be neuroprotective in a transgenic Huntington's disease model of Caenorhabditis elegans and to inhibit aggregation of huntingtin proteins.[36, 37] In addition, SeNPs have been suggested as potential therapeutic agents for Parkinson's[38, 39] and Alzheimer's[40] diseases. This evidence concerns the gene HTT and juvenile Huntington disease.
