In this regard, Saravia et al. showed the level of some cytokines such as CCL‐3, CCL‐4, CXCL10, PAI‐1, FGFb, TGFβ, and IL‐10 which was increased during HCV infection (80.7% had cirrhosis), significantly decreased after DAA treatment, and reached levels similar to healthy controls, while other factors such as suPAR and CCL11 did not change. This evidence concerns the gene TGFB1 and Cirrhosis.
