Vaccines based on lipid nanoparticle-encapsulated nucleoside-modified messenger RNA (mRNA-1273 and BNT162b2) and non-replicating viral vectors (Adv5-nCoV, ChAdOx1 nCoV-19, and Sputnik V), both encoding the full-length S protein from SARS-CoV-2, were administered to the Mexican population to combat the COVID-19 pandemic in homologous and heterologous prime-boost vaccination strategies (https://vacunacovid.gob.mx/calendario-vacunacion/). The gene discussed is PROS1; the disease is COVID-19.
