ADCYAP1 and migraine disorder: CGRP and PACAP are involved in migraine, as i) infusion of CGRP or PACAP can cause migraine in migraine-sensitive patients [3,5], ii) CGRP-signaling blockade has resulted in numerous FDA approved therapies [6,7], and iii) the PACAP-targeting antibody, Lu G0922, is being assessed in clinical trials, with recent results suggesting Lu G0922 effectively inhibits PACAP-38 induce cephalic vasodilation [8], and a high dose of Lu G0922 demonstrates a 2.0 day reduction in monthly migraine days (MMD) in patients with episodic or chronic migraine [9].
