CD8A and graft versus host disease: A striking finding was the increase in serum cholesterol and VLDL levels in BMT compared with BM-transplanted mice, and a reduction in serum cholesterol levels in BMT-transplanted mice depleted of CD8+ T cells, indicating that subclinical GvHD in our model was associated with aggravated hypercholesterolaemia, which was at least partly dependent on CD8+ T cells.
