INS and Hypertension: Relative to males in the sample, females collectively had relatively lower odds of myocardial infarction (OR: 0.48; 95% CI: 0.46–0.50), hypertension (OR: 0.71; 95% CI: 0.65–0.77), coronary disease (OR: 0.58; 95% CI: 0.56–0.60), and insulin use (OR: 0.93; 95% CI: 0.89–0.97), but higher odds of kidney disease (OR: 1.10; 95% CI: 1.06–1.15).
