Enasidenib, an oral inhibitor of mutant isocitrate dehydrogenase-2 (IDH2) protein, was approved in the United States in 2017 to treat adult patients with relapsed or refractory (R/R) acute myeloid leukemia (AML) with an IDH2 mutation (Pollyea et al. 2019; Cheng et al. 2022). Here, IDH2 is linked to acute myeloid leukemia.
