Neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL) has emerged as a vital biomarker for AKI due to its rapid elevation in response to kidney injury.4 The lateral flow strip (LFS) are chosen for NGAL detection in this study due to their simplicity, rapidity, and cost-effectiveness, making them invaluable tools for point-of-care diagnostics.5 These assays enable timely intervention and treatment by quickly detecting biomarkers associated with various clinical conditions. This evidence concerns the gene LCN2 and acute kidney injury.
