CRP and Sepsis: Many current research efforts focus on developingbiosensors thatare simple to fabricate while offering sufficient chemical and physicalstability for point-of-care applications, a feature considered a majoradvantage. Clinically important biomarkersfor sepsis include procalcitonin (PCT), C-reactive protein (CRP),, tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α), Interleukin-6 (IL-6), and pancreatic stone protein (PSP). Among these, CRP is recognized as a particularlyimportant biomarker for the diagnosis of sepsis.
