Furthermore, S100B and PLP1, two key SC markers, were significantly upregulated in the KC‐NC (SOX10) cells (S100B: 42.7 ± 12.2, p < 0.0001; PLP1: 19.9 ± 6.1, p < 0.0001) compared to untransduced NC cells on day 7 and 14 (S100B: 13.1 ± 5.9 (KC‐NC, 7 days), 12.0 ± 8.1 (KC‐NC, 14 days); PLP1: 11.7 ± 4.9 (KC‐NC, 7 days), 12.2 ± 4.8 (KC‐NC, 14 days)) (Figure 2B(j–o),F,G), highlighting a pronounced shift toward a SC‐like phenotype.
