Significant differences are observed regarding age, gender, pre-existing medical conditions, coagulopathy (Quick’ value ≤ 60% or INR ≥ 1.4 or PTT ≥ 40 s), pre-injury anticoagulation, anemia (Hb < 8 mg/dl), overall injury severity (ISS), head and abdominal injury as well as injury to the extremities, incidence of hemorrhagic shock and need for massive transfusion and need for catecholamines. Here, GSTM1 is linked to blood coagulation disease.
