Curcumin has significant anti-inflammatory effects, mainly by downregulating the NLRP3 inflammasome, and regulating NF-κB signaling and interleukin secretion are the most prominent functional mechanisms of curcumin in modulating the inflammasome (76), thus potentially focusing more on improving the inflammatory levels in PCOS patients. Here, NLRP3 is linked to polycystic ovary syndrome.
