At 1 year, shorter T2DM duration (odds ratio [OR]: 0.76; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.68–0.84; p < 0.001) and absence of insulin use (OR: 0.29; 95% CI: 0.10–0.84; p = 0.023) were significant predictors of diabetes remission. This evidence concerns the gene INS and diabetes mellitus.
