At 2 years, shorter diabetes duration (OR: 0.86; 95% CI: 0.77–0.94; p = 0.002) and absence of insulin use (OR: 0.25; 95% CI: 0.06–0.86; p = 0.033) remained significant predictors of remission, while higher preoperative BMI (adjusted OR: 1.13, 95% CI: 1.02–1.28, p = 0.044) was also associated with greater likelihood of remission.
