The effect of Au (I) drugs on BRCA‐mutated cell proliferation was tested in the UWB1.289 ovarian carcinoma cell line, in comparison with rucaparib [22], olaparib [23], and talazoparib [24]—established NAD+‐mimetic PARP‐1 and PARP‐2 inhibitors approved in the United States and Europe for the treatment of cancers with germline BRCA mutations. The gene discussed is PARP2; the disease is ovarian carcinoma.
