This is a much lower density than LMW tau composed of about 440 amino acids, known to be one of the highest phosphorylated protein with about 80 potential phosphorylation sites and over 40 experimentally verifies, some associated with tauopathies driven by hyperphosphorylation (Grundke-Iqbal et al., 1986; Trushina et al., 2019; Wegmann et al., 2021).
