miR-6085, a microRNA rarely mentioned in previous thyroid cancer studies, was found to inhibit AIFM2 and GPX4 protein expression, mediate cell ferroptosis in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) [24], and target the GDF11 protein, which is involved in cell apoptosis and oxidative stress in human brain microvascular endothelial cells of stroke patients [25]. This evidence concerns the gene AIFM2 and thyroid cancer.
