CYN promotes hepatic steatosis by elevating proteins involved in lipid metabolism (acetyl-CoA carboxylase, stearoyl-CoA desaturase-1, prosaposin, and ACAA2 (3-ketoacyl-CoA thiolase mitochondrial)) and potentially impairing autophagy [34,39,48]. This evidence concerns the gene ACAA2 and fatty liver disease.
