A lower insulin dose (0.05 U/kg/h) was associated with a significantly reduced risk of hypoglycemia (RR = 0.39, 95% CI: 0.18–0.88, p = 0.02) and hypokalemia (RR = 0.54, 95% CI: 0.33,0.89, p = 0.01) compared to 0.1 U/kg/h. This evidence concerns the gene INS and Hypokalemia.
