Importantly, the levels of nuclear pY-STAT3 were lower in epithelial and stromal cells combined, epithelial cells alone, and stromal cells alone within the normal mucosa of TTI-101-treated mice vs. dysplastic mucosa of vehicle-treated mice (all; p ≤ 0.05, Kruskal–Wallis test; Figure 3D. Furthermore, the number of colon adenomas correlated with pY-STAT3 levels in the epithelium plus stroma, as well as with pY-STAT3 levels in the epithelium alone and in the stroma alone (Figure 3E–G). This evidence concerns the gene STAT3 and colon adenoma.
