TENM1 and cancer: Chromatin immunoprecipitation assays show that luteolin reduces H3K9 acetylation on the promoters of cancer-promoting genes (IL6; Adenosine A1 Receptor, ADORA1; teneurin transmembrane protein 1, TENM1), directly linking its lysine acetyltransferase KAT inhibitory activity to gene expression changes and inhibiting head and neck squamous cell carcinoma progression [113].
