Our analysis showed that the transcript levels of Golgi sialyltransferases β-galactoside α-2,6-sialyltransferase 1 (ST6GAL1), β-galactoside α-2,3-sialyltransferase 2 (ST3GAL2), and the polysialic acid-producing enzyme (ST8SIA4) are significantly up-regulated in the tissues of GBM patients compared to non-tumoral ones (Figure 1A). Here, ST3GAL2 is linked to glioblastoma.
