SOD1 and Huntington disease: Superoxide dismutase 1 (SOD1), a cytosolic antioxidant enzyme (Figure 4D), analyzed by two-way ANOVA, demonstrated a significant interaction (p < 0.0001), where 3-NPA elevated SOD1 in HD cells (p = 0.0119), while MB + 3-NPA treatment amplified SOD1 levels in HD cells (p = 0.0006), suggesting a possible compartment-specific response that may be more effectively regulated in the mitochondria.
