GPX4 and liver disorder: It is highly interesting, as it is a compound possessing known therapeutic and bioactive properties, chiefly antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, which is useful in some liver disorders as well as arthritis and asthma [39,40,41], mostly through activation of antioxidative enzymes such as superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), and glutathione peroxidase (GPX4), which help in reducing reactive oxygen species (ROS) and protecting cells from oxidative damage [42,43].
