Previous studies have shown that C-X-C motif chemokine 13(CXCL13), CXC chemokine ligand 10(CXCL10), and C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 8(CXCL8) in cerebrospinal fluid(CSF) are abnormally elevated in patients with other CNS infections, such as brucellosis, multiple sclerosis, and facial nerve paralysis (4–6). This evidence concerns the gene CXCL8 and brucellosis.
