Our previous results, demonstrating that the loss of 14-3-3 proteins in glutamatergic CA1 neurons leads to psychosis-related phenotypes, and the link between YWAHE/14-3-3ε and psychiatric disorders inspired our generation of a Ywhae conditional knockout (CKO) mouse model to better understand the role of 14-3-3ε in glutamatergic forebrain neurons. This evidence concerns the gene YWHAE and psychiatric disorder.
