NIPAL1 and cancer: We further tested the immune cell‐type specificity of the 207 identified unique cancer‐linked genes using cell‐type‐specific RNA‐seq data from the DICE consortium.[22] We found that 25 of the cancer‐linked genes (12%) showed T cell specificity (expression levels of a gene in T cells were at least two times higher than expression levels the same gene in other immune cell types; Table S9B, Supporting Information), where expression levels of three genes, SYNM, NIPAL1 and TMEM45B, showed CD4 + T cell specificity.
