Balancing out the influence of sample size (number of cases), we found that genes expressed in CD4+ T cells were more likely to affect risk of lung cancer (OR of Fisher's exact test = 1.7, p = 3.66 × 10−5) and cervical cancer (OR = 4.7, p = 4.12 × 10−12). The gene discussed is CD4; the disease is lung carcinoma.
