Through MR analysis, a significant association was identified between SGLT2 inhibition and an increased risk of anxiety disorder (P = 1.69 × 10−6, OR[95% CI] = 2.65[1.78, 3.96]), obsessive-compulsive disorder (P = 0.001, OR[95% CI] = 41.04[4.16, 405.27]), and bipolar affective disorder (P = 1.47 × 10−4, OR[95% CI] = 6.07[2.39, 15.39]) (Table S4 and Figure 2, considering the large differences in OR in the MR analysis results, a logarithmic transformation [estimate = log10OR] was applied to facilitate visualization in the figure). Here, SLC5A2 is linked to anxiety disorder.
