As shown in Figure 4, a split was observed in the fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) test of the MAML2 gene, and, in conjunction with the morphological findings, the diagnosis of low-grade mucoepidermoid carcinoma was confirmed. The probe used in this time was the MAML2 break-apart probe (ZytoVision, Bremerhaven, Germany). The gene discussed is MAML2; the disease is mucoepidermoid carcinoma.
