HMGCR and Hypertension: At baseline, the following medications were prescribed for diabetes: α-glucosidase inhibitors alone (31.0%), metformin alone (24.1%) and its combination (3.4%), and treatment-naïve (41.4%); for hypertension: angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) (41.4%), calcium channel blockers (CCB) (27.6%), diuretic (13.8%) and β-blocker (6.9%); for dyslipidemia: 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-coenzyme A reductase inhibitor (statin) (41.4%), ezetimibe (13.8%) and fibrate (3.4%).
