Similarly, in glioblastoma (GBM) stem cells, histone lactylation drives immunosuppression through two coordiated mechanisms: CD47 upregulation to attenuate phagocytic activity and signal transducer and transcription 3 (STAT3) activation to reduce microglial/macrophage infiltration and impair immune surveillance (Wang S. et al., 2024).
