PTPRD and neuroblastoma: Pinpointing the physiological substrates of PTPRD at synapses remains a major gap. Outside the nervous system, biochemical and cell‐based studies show that PTPRD dephosphorylates STAT3 (Veeriah et al. 2009; Ortiz et al. 2014; Peyser et al. 2015; Yu et al. 2017) and AURKA, the latter leading to oncoprotein destabilization in neuroblastoma cells (Meehan et al. 2012).
