ACE and Hypertension: The usual drugs used to treat arterial hypertension were beta-blockers in 33.3% of patients, combination preparations of beta-blockers and ACE inhibitors (angiotensin-converting enzymes) in 15.2%, ACE inhibitors alone in 13.6%, and other combination preparations in 3.0%; the antihypertensive drug was unknown in 34.8% of the cases.
