For instance, the cGAS‐STING pathway in microglia promotes neuroinflammation and facilitates viral invasion in the CNS.[58, 59] Similarly, another study revealed that pharmacological modulation of the cGAS‐STING pathway axis may effectively attenuate Alzheimer's disease progression.[60] While the cGAS‐STING pathway has been extensively studied in microglia in the context of neuroinflammation and viral infection,[59, 61] its specific role and activation mechanisms within neurotoxic astrocytes following ICH remain largely unexplored. Here, CGAS is linked to viral infectious disease.
